HRP/Royal Purple Points races

How do I get signed up for points for these races? I am looking to give it a shot this year... do I have to be a NHRA member? Feel free to email me the responses if you want to, davidwhunter81@yahoo.com

Thanks for the help in advance.

Re: HRP/Royal Purple Points races

At the first points race, go to RPR race control tower BEFORE race starts, hand them $20 bucks and your in. It usally takes about a min of 180 or more points to make the bracket finals team.

And yes, you will have to be a NHRA member to partisapate in the finals, dues paid before race of course.

good luck
Jack

Thanks Jack.

Re: HRP/Royal Purple Points races

Somebody on the HRP board called the place PRP. That stands for Poor Racing Program. I wish they would get there she-i-t together and bring it back to where it was just a few years ago before the 2 day thing. It just isn't working out as well as they think it is. That is one of the reasons I am not running there for a while. Not many people I have talked to like racing 2 days for a local bracket race. I just hope that Angleton is going to be open this year. Jack runs the program pretty (very) well.

Who cares about what you think, Rickey Booby

Re: HRP/Royal Purple Points races

me, at least I use my real name

Re: HRP/Royal Purple Points races

I'm guessing they will assign me a car number or do I make up my own? I'm not too fond about running 2 days in a row either Bobby but I want to race somewhere haha

Re: HRP/Royal Purple Points races

You will be required to purchase a NHRA permanant ET bracket number along with your membership. All this must be done before you attend team finals in October. Until then you can use a number you choose, as long as no one else is using it in the points series at RPR. As far as I know this is still correct info, but you should still check with the bracket race director at RPR.

Re: HRP/Royal Purple Points races

Is this the right application Jack? I emailed an director for this division and have not heard back from him.

Re: HRP/Royal Purple Points races

I'm purdy sure memberships and perminent numbers come from California office.. go to NHRA online and check there. it's been a while since i've re-upped anything from NHRA.
