GENERAL RULES AND INFORMATION:

The season will consist of between 12 and 16 races. There will be a minimum of 2 scheduled races per month for spring and fall (Mar, Apr, May, Jun, Sep, Oct) and 1 race each in July and August. In the event of rainouts, the track will attempt to reschedule the race.

Entry into the points fund will require a $20 one time yearly buy in per driver.

With points fund the driver will be assigned a number to use at each bracket race.

Points go with driver not the car.

There will be an end of year racer appreciation race for the bracket and street class. Anyone who holds a points card gets free entry into bracket race (have to pay $10 gate entry fee).

Bracket/street points will be given as follows: 20 points to take light in first round and 10 points for each round win.

Each class will be given a minimum of 2 time trials. Depending on time constraints a third time trial may be available.

Each class will be called to the lanes individually for time trials and eliminations.

A card draw system will be used to pair cars for eliminations and to select bye runs. In the event of an odd number of cars in the lanes, one of the cars on the front row will receive the bye (the car in the lane of the first card selected each round will get the bye). The bye recipient will be taken out of the lanes, the cards will be shuffled and the card draw will proceed.

Each car is only allowed one bye during eliminations (this excludes competition singles due to breakage or no-shows).

Street cars shall have current inspection, registration and DOT approved tires. Proof of insurance can be substituted for inspection/registration for classic cars. Drag radials will be allowed. Foot brake only, no transbrake use allowed in the street class.

You must have your dial in clearly marked on your windshield and the passenger side of the car before you enter the water box. Reasonable exceptions will be allowed for motorcycle, altered and rail cars but it is the responsibility of the driver to make sure the track operator is aware of their dial-in.

No electronics controlling devices other than RPM activated automatic shifters and nitrous controllers are allowed in the bracket class.

Transbrake use allowed in bracket class.

No driver can drive 2 cars in the same class.

A driver cannot swap cars after eliminations have started.

Navasota raceway reserves the right to change the schedule and race rules at any time. Please check the Navasota Raceway website for updates.

Re: Navasota Raceway 2011 Schedule

Is Navasota NHRA or IHRA?

My name is Johnny Sides and I'm the event coordinator for Navasota Raceway. Navasota Raceway is going to get serious about their bracket racing program in 2011. We will have a points system and a track champion. We are not sanctioned at this time but if our bracket program becomes successful that is something we are interested in doing for 2012. We will only have a no electronics class this year but that includes footbrake and transbrake cars. We will also have a street car division if there is enough interest. We will be updating/changing our website in the coming months, please bookmark us at www.navasotaraceway.com.

I hope everyone has a great Christmas and New Years and hope to see you next year.

Sometimes your just forget what your read. Thanks Paul. Now to find a IHRA track close to home.

Re: Navasota Raceway 2011 Schedule

Thanks so much for the positive response. We are interested in IHRA sanctioning but first we need to establish a healthy bracket program. If that materializes this year we will certainly look into it next year.

Re: Navasota Raceway 2011 Schedule

Please do . Me and my bro will be there. Always like smaller tracks for some reason , seem to do better there.

We will try to show up a few times this year. Trying to sell a house in Katy and move closer to my job (farther away from Navasota, but like Braders, Love smaller tracks).
