Just my outlook of Sealy,.....I have spoken to a few workers at Sealy, I have overheard some talk and I tell you for what it's worth my opinion:
Lonestar is perfectly happy with having a TNT session twice a month from 12 pm to 5 pm. At about 3 pm they throw together a little Jackpot race where everyone chips in $10.00. Last week, you are correct there was 21 cars, about 4 racecars and 10 street type cars,..*you know the mustangs and camaros" then they had a few cars/ pickup trucks running 10 to 12 second 1/8 mile passes. THe winner got the entire pot of $210.00.
This is an easy day for the track, not much expense, not much of a hassle, not much overhead and that is the way they like it.
I am not saying anything BAD or NEGATIVE at all, I am just saying this appears to be the path they like.
But, of course I wish anyone who trys something else all the support and confidence in the world! Good luck Sir.
Okay Im fixen to put my 2-cents in , you have wanted a place to have a bracket race persay , that will be here for you -- well here is a perfect oppertunity to provide yourself for having a place to race. Say you and 70 of your best friends show up and put on a No/E & Top/ET race in the jackpot spot, you are there we get an okay from BoB if you want after all we now how to run it without a glich , Im here already for you guys and I know what goes into putting it on we can do this .Jack and I have talked about it how nice it would be to go for it . After all the pay out would go to you guys and you could divide it the way you want. They add $100 to the kitty for 10+ cars. We can have 1st round bybacks too.
Also wanted to let you guys know that LSMP is going to have a race in April 23rd , The Brandt Nationals is an event that will be using there proceeds to benefit the Special Olympics. Mr Paul Brandt is sponcering this and would like those people who have the time to come out and enjoy a day of index racing .
