PROBABLY GOING TO GO TO BAYTOWN,WHEN WE GET THE NEW DRAGSTER WORKED OUT

Re: angleton racers...where you gonna race this year?

Pinevalley or Baytown havent decided yet. Talked to Shane at Pinevalley today and he said that if he had enough racers he would take 2 teams to the bracket finals.

Re: angleton racers...where you gonna race this year?

Been talking about Pine Valley. Don't like the way Baytown is running their bracket program. Ever since the Gay's sold their half to the Angels, seems like it has been going down . Wish there was another NHRA track close by that had a bracket program.

Re: angleton racers...where you gonna race this year?

Bobby, are you sure things are that bad at RPR? Seth has done a lot in the last three years to improve the track, including raising the purse in both bracket classes. They also made a change in the points awarded after buy backs..probly one of the most solid bracket programs in Texas. If you add the new Tower Club, newly remodeled bathrooms, new paving in pit area, and the addition of Royal Purple has been a great shot in the arm for the track.. Don't forget they still have a message board and weekly photos from Scott Singleton, Super Chevy, NMRA?, ADRL, two divionals races and the big one....not bad.

Just look at the schedule for the Texas Motorplex this year, They have cut way back for 2011. You and Sunny need to come visit, even if for one day.

I havn't been there but once in the last two years. I can't do the 2 day racing anymore. I don't kow of a track in the area that does 2 day bracket racing unless it's a big money event. I dont' understand why they can't model their bracket racing program the way that the finals (1/8 for the finals 1/8 all year long, same with 1/4) are going to be run. I really don't care about the Tower Club except that Ted holds his church services there (that's a good thing). Yes, it's a nice building, but they charge the same for the banquet as they did when it was at the Mexican resturant. It's about time they did something with the restrooms. Maybe they should have added a couple of shower stalls so wehn they do have the 2 day races, people that wpend the night could clean up. And where did the nice plaques go for being on the team at the finals? I guess I am spoiled at the way they used to treat bracket racers! IDK, maybe I am just to grumpy in my getting older age? Plus having MS doesn't help either.

We have talked about showing up for a couple of races. Probably more on sunday than saturday. I dont' like showing up a 10 am and having to wait 4 hours to run or being told to show up at 2 and they have already started running.

Glad the track has done some improvements.

Even though I visit their message board, Bracketrash is still better.

Re: angleton racers...where you gonna race this year?

WE DO GET PLAQUES FOR RUNNING AT THE BRACKET FINALS. YOU ALSO WERE IN FAVOR FOR THE 2 DAY BRACKET RACES WHEN WE FIRST STARTED DOING IT. I SAY QUIT WHINING ABOUT THE WAY THE TRACK IS RUN BECAUSE IT IS NOT GOING TO CHANGE. THEY ARE THE ONLY TRACK THAT IS NOT CLOSING IT'S DOORS DUE TO THE LACK OF PARTICIPATION. WE ARE ALSO ALL AWARE YOU HAVE MS SINCE YOU WRITE IT IN ALL OF YOUR POSTS. IF YOU ARE THAT UNHAPPY WITH THEM DON'T GO AND QUIT ******** ABOUT IT........ IT'S GETTING OLD......YOU WOULD THINK YOU ARE MARRIED TO THE PLACE AS MUCH AS YOU ***** ABOUT IT. LOVE YA BOBBY TTYL. HAVE A BLESSED DAY

Re: angleton racers...where you gonna race this year?

Thanks Matt. Yes I was in favor of the 2 day racing, but I just can't do it anymore and if there was a poll on it, you would see that not many are in favor of it. I have only mentioned my ms in a couple of posts. Believe if or not, but it does take a toll on me. Sorry to rant and rage about this, but probably won't be see much of me out there. Only when I feel like going and have the $ to go. Plus with the HOA we have, I have to mow my yard every weekend. :)Can't do that when I'm out racing.

Oh yea, Angleton didn't close b/c of lack of participation. See ya when we see ya. :)

Oh yea and another reason:

It's a $15.00 2-day weekend pass only! No single day passes!

Re: angleton racers...where you gonna race this year?

OOPS !!!! GUESS ITS GOING TO BE PINE VALLEY,WHO ELSE IS IN?

Re: angleton racers...where you gonna race this year?

Well the 2 day races work great for us.me and James live in Orange (80+miles 1 way).we get a hotel or crash at my brothers house is Anawac(spelling?).we drive past Evadale because of the constant BS there.there bracket program sucks !!!!.RPR is a no BS kind of track.get in the lanes and race.shut up and race.quit crying and race.its what we like.we have not found any BS at all.mabey we dont see it ? dont know.what we do know is that every time we pull into the lanes its game on no matter who is in the other lane.this will be our 2nd yr racing in the points here.and would rather quit racing than go back to racing the way we did years ago.the improvements at RPR are amasing.the bathroom, parking lot and most importantly the track are 2nd to none.we bracket race.later this year we will be trying our luck in super street div4.hopefully we are here to stay.we have a shoestring budget for sure and could save money racing in Evadale(18 miles from home) but it would be like going backwards to us.Bobby good luck to ya.hopfully you will come race with us.
