Well fellow racers and fans Angleton Raceway is officially history, they have started tearing it down. I would just like to thank each and everyone of you who raced and supported the track. We saw a lot of good races and met a lot of good people. I enjoyed working there with everyone. I was there working before the track opened all the way to the end. We carried the name OUTLAWS with pride and were one of a kind. Now that the track is history we would love to hear your good stories and great moments. God bless and good luck to each and everyone of you as you continue to race. Thank you!!! Terry Coldwater (starter & nick name scooter)
Well, this officially sucks. I remember when we used to race on friday nights. I think I ended up going a lot of rounds one night. I had just got all loaded up (the trailer and me, haha). It was around 3am and the lights got turned off. It was a good thing my truck lights were on b/c I would have lost where I parked it. It gets dark out there at night. I also think this is where I beat Jay for the first time also.
Even though I knew it was over, It was still sad to hear the definate word. Yes, there was a lot of good times at that little track. I also watched it under constuction from the start.
We always stuggled to have a bracket team, but always had the diehards that would make our small "Outlaws " team. One of my best memories was the one and only banquet we had..it was a blast. Thanks to Nancy Fuquas hard work and dedication. Terry Coldwater, A big thanks to you to for sticking it out until the finish.. Shelby, thanks to you also for doing a fine job in the tower. Ricky Bell , thanks for your hard work keeping the track open as long as you could, we all appricate your efforts.. I know Allison Moses will miss the track alot, she worked there from the time when she was just a little one.
Finally, thanks to all who worked there and raced there over the years and for giving me a lot of fond memories and lasting friendships.. Angleton Raceway was a very special little dragstrip.
Allison gave the new owners her opinion last night when they came into Chili's!!! It is sad to see it go. Weekends just aren't the same without it. I am trying to find someone with more money than sense to build a new track!!! Any takers??????
I just drove by a few minutes ago and the only thing left is the track, bathroom building, and a few light poles. Had a lot of fun out there, met a lot of great people, and actually went a few rounds once in a while. Even though I 'retired' from racing, I will still miss the track.

Well, there is NOTHING left but the restroom building. No light poles, no guard wall, no stands, nothing. Drove by there twice this weekend. Had tears in my beer, ooppps eyes, as I was driving by.
Think we have more pictures there racing than anyother track, cause you could always coount on Randy being there, so most the pictures on my computer are from Angleton. Angleton wasn't my favorite track but the people were always great, I never had a problem with the personnal, just great time and memories. Thanks everyone for the memories.
