Well folks here is the word that I have at this time. Im sorry to say that we will not have a Bracket program in place for next year and the HangOver Nat. has been taken by San Antonio , Im really very sorry for getting your hopes up but I tried ! Apparently they will have 4 or 5 IronMan Races throught the year and will have some special races in between those. I gave it my best shot and feel that it has fallen on deaf ears , Jack and I had a really kick ass points system to inhance your racing experience. Any way I really want to thank all of you for your support and am really very disappointed , they don't realize what the effect this has on there ability to draw people to these other races . I'm a little angry because of all the stupid promises they made at the meeting with Jack and I the improvements they said there going to make and all. So anyway if you come out just to visit i'll be here at LSMSP. I'm really sorry for tboth the losses we have had with Chuck & Ron , I know for a fact they will be greatly missed by us all My Prayers to both Families. May GOD Bless all of you during all these wonderful Holidays ! Thank you all for being a great Family to me and my wonderful wife Kim "The Fuel Lady".

It is such a great facility and was looking forward to a bracket program in 2012,, what happened and what will it take to get one in place? it was shown that we all will come if in fact a program was to be put in place. Keith and the Rockport crew

Appreciate the effort yourself and Jack put forth to listen to their BS, dam shame they wasted yall's time. As far as San Antonio taking the Hangover National race sounds like bs too just an excuse to get out of this big money race they were gonna have. It is what it is better to find out now where we can make plans to race elswhere.

It is beyond me that "whoever" owes or manages this track makes these decisions! Lets think about it a second,..."AAH, Sealy post a race and on raceday you got cars lined up for a **** mile to HAND YOU MONEY!

Is the purpose of having a racetrack to have races? How can you make any money with the little test and tune jackpot races? Why don't someone see the facts,....When you have a large group of people wanting to throw money at you,......****,.TAKE IT!"

I have heard talk that the ONLY reason this track was purchased was for a TAX BREAK to the owner. That this track is a write off and if he makes profit it defeats his purpose of owning it. IF, this is the case,..........TELL US! Be up front, so all the good loyal Lonestar dedicated racers that have been LOYAL to Lonestar can go somewhere else!

I really think sometimes that everyone should just say Screw it and stay away from Lonestar! Yep, its kinda like a cheating, lying spouse,....sooner or later you get tired of all the lies and heartbreaks and simply find love somewhere else!

My love and others has always been for Lonestar first. Like I said, I am just dumbfounded that Lonestar either CAN'T see this or just don't give a **** and seek failure for personal reasons!

Gary, this aint directed at YOU nor Jack Robinson. You guys are as solid and loyal as they come. But, the more I think about it,... your in bed with some fellows that are not the same caliber of a man and have any of the passion or desire to have a profitable racetrack! I thank you and Jack for every minute of time that you two have donated on behalf of us,..."the little guys, the racers" and I know you feel jilted also.

Well I was shocked to read Gary's post. Gary and I are gonna talk Monday and I'll try and find out what changed their decision. I'm really sorry this has happened, I told so many people about Lonestars 2012 plans and there was a lot of excitement over the news. I'm sorry and wished I had some say so, but they make the rules and own the track. I'll let you know when I find out something. Jack

Jack you and Gary have nothing to be sorry for yall tried.Yall just passed on the information that you were giving.They must be fine with their test and tune jackpot races. Waiting for track schedules to come out, but looks like I will be taking some gear out to run 1/4 mile at RPR unless their program gets butchered up.

Like Paul 's comment said hats off to all specialy Jack and Garry for their effort. Most tracks are trying to make a profit there has been talk of a tax shelter,,and not becoming a profit center? That's to is easy to fix promote the fact that all profits go to charity, in these tough economic times. I am sure that many would like the donation from any source. if the ownership will think outside the box there are ways to make this happen !

Hey Folks now you all know me too well to think that I'm just going to lay down because they have made a choice not to have a Bracket program ! I'm not that **** easy to be swept in the corner - I was just passing on what info I received from Bob ! I'm not going to back down one bit about trying to open there eyes as to how we can make this work , you just never know what kinda rabbits I have in my hat or up my sleeve . Jack & I are going to talk and shake things up see what comes out . I think between him and I we can hash out some ideas to present to them that will make it worth there while ! Also on that note you have no idea who I've been trying to set up as sponsers for our program , I haven't even gotting all of them the info yet . Yes we have some great sponser that if presented the right package will shoulder some hefty purses and relieve some expense that the track is worried about . I'm willing to do everything I can to make this happen even if its a little later in the season , I mean it we deserve a place to race and for good once an for all. I will sacrafice every effort to get this done .

I hear you gary, I have an idea myself we can chat about. Like we talked about before, we only need their track, we can keep our own points and get a team together for the finals...I will say this, there is still alot of interest for a program out there. talk with you soon.

Jack, Garry,, I know if anything can be done to put togather a racing program at Lonestar you will do it,, but don't think you are alone in this! I along with many other racers will help if called upon. We as a group have a lot of experince. utilize our business contacts to business mgmt experence. Many of us will answer your call if needed. Say the word !

This is great news, but is there any way we can get some form of commitment from the owners? We've had our spirits picked up and then dropped again and again and it's just hard to be sure it's not happening again this time. Some of us have to use up valuable and limited vacation days to make these races and once we commit, we cannot change those dates. I want to race for an IHRA team more than anyone, but don't want to risk starting up the season and then the brakes get slammed on us.

I soooo hope this deal is for real.

I agree with Rowdy, we have to have some kind of commitment from the track. Need some set dates that the track will stick with and not just change at their convience. I appreciate what Gary and Jack are doing and I hope it works out cause I will be there, but the track has to be willing to commit.

Myself and Jack will be getting all the details to you all as soon as we can , showing how they can have a way to be cost effect will be paramount in doing this we are working on a sponser for a commitment to minimize expense . We have a workable deal for them !

Gary, what does it cost to rent the track for a Saturday event? What does that include?

Hey guys any news on if we are going to get a bracket program going at Lonestar in 2012 ? I know it's January but feels like spring,, ready to get the hot rod out.. ( with tracks closing around the state in many cases for lack of suport,, ) we have what seems to be a commited group ready to run and support the Lonestar track ! Please tell me some good news !
