What a great day of racing at LSMP, 159 cars were on the grounds. Looks like about 60 cars showed for the first rd of footbrake and 32 or so in electronics, I think there were about 8 jrs.

Open time trials started at 11.30 and first rd was promtly at 2.00 as scheduled. Trophies , pictures were given out all by 9.30 pm, so forget about all this 2-3 A.M. crap you were hearing!!

When all the smoke cleared, it was San Antonios Leroy O' Bryant doing the double up in Top and racing himself in the final, semi finalist was a 4.70 dragster from S.A. area, sorry did'nt get his name.

In footbrake (Mod) it was Paul Smith of Tomball over Drew Porcher of Conroe, both drivers were dead on their dial ends, lone semi finalist was Jay Robinson of Santa Fe. Congrates goes out to Ronnie Foley who stayed double teched down to seven cars.

I'm not to sure , but I think it was Cory Tankersly over Raven in Jrs. and Austin Watson semis. If I'm wrong , someone please correct me.

Overall it was a good weekend of racing, and it was good to see some old Angleton Raceway racers out there racing again. Congrates to all the finalist and I'll see you April 14th for race #3.

Raven won over Cory in the Jrs.
Think Cory was dead on but Raven treed him and ran a 8.07 on a 8.03, good job to both of them. Austin was killing the tree to make it to the semi's but a redlight ended his day. There were 11 in the show, one broke and 10 made first round. all together there was 14 total counting the test and tuner's.

Good job to Paul and LeRoy.

Congrats to all the winners, it was a great day at the track,, weather perfict and some really good racing action. For those who did not make it, you really missed a great race and well run by the Lonestar's track staff. Hope to see everyone back next mth. Leroy let us know we better be on our game with that double up performance !

Way to go Paul Smith and Leroy , Raven did an excellent job winning Jrs also ! To all the racers that have been so supportive of our efforts to bring this Series home a HUGE THANK YOU for everything . Rick Davis is now back home where he belongs and I'm so happy to see even the SA gang has put some of there racers in our yard . Sorry it has been a long spell since my last posting been busy trying to market some sponsors but we should be seeing some posted by May or sooner ! Thanks again to all the racers as a family we are truly blessed to havve you all.
