Heard that John Boutin, former starter at HRP (Royal Purple Raceway) passed away over the weekend. I always enjoyed getting a "thumbs up" from him as I was approaching the starting line. Please keep Waynetta and his family and friends in your prayers. John will be greatly missed.
A few years back I got hit in the head with a good size rock while watching a car do a burnout. It hit me hard enough to drop me to my knees and I could'nt see because of the blood running in my eyes. John left his job on the starting line and he grab my arm and walked me to the ambulance and stayed with me until they cleaned me up, he was a good man and always had a handshake for me. He will be missed.
