JUST WANTED TO GET AN IDEA OF HOW MANY MIGHT BE INTERESTED IN RUNNING THE SUMMIT SUPER SERIES THIS YEAR AT ANGLETON. I THINK MOST OF THE REGULAR BRACKET RACERS WHO HAVE RUN WITH IHRA BEFORE ARE FAMILAR WITH IT. I WILL POST THE GUIDE LINES AND HOW IT WILL BE RUN. FOR SOME REASON IN THE PAST THERE HAS NOT BEEN TO MUCH INTEREST??? LATER........
JACK
Jack,
I like it, I am already paid with IHRA but for Lone Star, I would think theres not a problem with changing it. If you have any info on what direction to make this happen, let me know.
When is race day, and where is Bobby??????????????
I'll be there. Do we need to start collecting any money yet? Then new Super Series talks about not being able to collect points until we are signed up.
P.S. I noticed that the people that went to the Super Series Finals in San Antonio last year had the Angleton track designation changes from AN to V. Is V going to be our new track designation?
SSS is a good program. I came **** close to making the Elite 8 last year, and I'll be running the series again this year. Sure would be nice to have a track close to home that will participate in it. With the new 2006 format, you need not worry about making 30 rounds, you just have to be #1 at your local track. Also, in order to have a Race of Champions representive at Bracket Finals, the track has to run the SSS.
From a business standpoint, I doubt it's going to bring very many extra cars to Angleton Dragway. Depending on what Ben Bruce and Sealy do, of course.
Bill I talked to Mr Bruce this weekend and he said they were not doing it. I am try to pick a different track this year. It is going to be either Angleton are Pinevalley.
Well, there ya go. It might draw some of the Beaumont folks, then. Thanks for the info Wayne. For those that didn't keep up with the SSS last year, Wayne was also very close to making it. I believe he was tops in all of Division 4.
