I believe someone has made the decision to cancel tonight's race very early! Some of us racers do not have the luxury of racing every weekend & for someone to cancel so early because of a 20% chance of rain leaves me to wonder if Angleton Raceway wants a bracket team.

3 hours before gates open with no rain i think is a little premature

You know I wanted to be there as bad as everyone else. I have made the tow many times to find out that the race was called off befor I got there . I know that sucks but so does mother nature ! I think it was a good call ! If you cant see that then thats why your not a track owner . Your a bracket racer ! Chill out and roll with it . IT'S ALL GOOD !-YOUR FRIEND,BRAIN BRADER

Brian is right. It was only the first of 10 scheduled races and the schedule is such if need be they could reschedule some of the races cancelled do to rain. I have noticed some negative feed back already and some "Told you so" sharks swimming about. It is in our better interest as bracket racers to lend as much support to the new owner and management as we did the last. Remember they got a later start than they should have so we need to help get the racers and spectators back to the levels it was at the end of last year. Tell people you race and you race at Angleton. Know the gate price, opening times, and tell them they can bring their own drinks (including beer) and food. I'm not saying this to get more money for the owner, but to help keep our track open and yes I'll admit it benefits me greatly.- Chris

i know it seemed premature, but it was a good call. it spinkled and lite rained most of day, it would of been frustrating to all to keep trying to dry the track, i wanted to see this race get off as much as anyone...jack

Do the new owners know that they need to enclosed the whole facility,LOL.

Everyone needs to chill out and have a bottle of JOSE for these ocation.

I think we all were disappointed we had to cancel Saturday night, but we had a heavy drizzle on and off all Saturday night.
