for those that have seen the pics of my nefews car from the MLK race on this site(orange 80 malibu).its the one that Jack took the photos of spinning out of control.well its sad to reort that he wasent so lucky saturday night.he had made 2 perfect passes earlier in the night without any problems.then just after i won the bracket race he tied 1 more time.the car left with the wheels up and was going nice and strait,but when it came down from the wheel stand it just made a hard turn to the right and into the wall.it then went rolling down the track several times.some say 5 other said 9 but who knows.the car is a total loss.but he walked away with only brusis and a few scratches.his NHRA certified roll cage did it job.as did all of his other safty equipment.so folks if your car dosent have all of the safty stuff it should have think twice before you go racing.my nefews car was a beutiful car that was biult correctly.you never know what might happen.this crash happened before the 1/8 mile mark.so be safe.nobody can rebiuld YOU when your gone.

Eric, glad to hear that he is OK. Cars can be replaced (I know from experience!). I agree that the required safety equipment does its job. Also, congratulations on winning the bracket race!!

well it looks like hes over his heartbreak.hes on his way to look at a backhalfed mustang set up for a BBC/glide.he is realy sore and his ankel is swolen but his spirits are high.you can look for him to be back realy soon.it sucks loosing a new race car like that(less than 15 passes).

Racing is tough. Glad he's ok.
