Press Release from Lonestar Motorsports Park on Quarter Mile Construction

PRESS RELEASE
FOR IMMEDIATE PUBLICATION
June 6, 2006

Who Said Things Aren’t Bigger in Texas!

Lonestar Motorsports Park, located 50 miles west of Houston, is undergoing not only new programs, but growing bigger and better. On Monday, June 5, 2006, the bulldozers starting rolling and the track is going hot and heavy with the surface extension going to a quarter mile facility. Owner John Hennessey last month also purchased an additional acres, now totaling 143 acres, with plans for a drifting pad, motocross, road racing track, tractor pull attraction area, and for future plans of moving his Viper business and shop. A lot of time and consideration has been given in the planning phase of the quarter mile, and all the other aspects. Hennessey went on to say, “I want a smooth track and we have made sure we had the right people and contractors in place to make sure we meet that goal. It’s all very exciting and I look forward to everyone coming out and see all the changes! In 2006, I wanted to get my feet wet in the business and get the construction started. Hopefully in September/October, we will be scheduling some exciting shows that will be real crowd pleasers.” Completion of the quarter mile phase should be completed sometime in July, weather- permitting!

The bracket program will be ran 1/8 mile for 2006. Everything started out for this season 1/8 mile and it doesn’t make sense to change anything mile stream. A decision hasn’t been determined yet for the 2007 season.

Hennessey has some great plans for future events at the facility, “Drifting is really hot in the industry right now and I think it would be a great addition at Lonestar. The interest is growing, and this will be even more enticing with the new movie coming out.”

The motocross work will hopefully begin by the end of this year. We are working with several people and designers to come up with a good design that racers will enjoy. This area will be located on the new property at the front. Can you image going down I-10 and all of a sudden seeing a bike coming off a ramp, mid air and a car on the freeway catches a glimpse? With over 110,000 people crossing the front gate at the track, I think it will definitely get some attention!

The road course and moving Hennessey’s headquarters is tentatively scheduled for 2007. But knowing how time is flying, that will be here tomorrow!
