Fabricator / Welder Wanted

If you can mig and tig weld and want to build race cars for a living in the Houston, Texas area please call us at 281-381-3153.

Re: Fabricator / Welder Wanted

What expierence do you have as a chassis fabricator/ business. Less then a year ago your where inquiring about chassis shops, I guess looking to have work done on your car. So what you did the work yourselves and now your a chassis shop. With no known experience you are going to be working on other folks car. The bad part there will be people dumb enough to fall for your lowball tactics to take business away from the experienced shops.

What are you talking about? I think you have confused me with someone else.

Your website says your a Motorsports Marketing Company?

It appears to me you have little if any experience in chassis fabrication. I've never heard of anyone running one of your cars?

There's alot more to building race cars then being able to weld. That may be fine for dirt tracking bombers, but not drag racing.

Re: Fabricator / Welder Wanted

RG,

You are exactly correct I did post that message about a year ago on the westsidemustangs website as well as several other sites, and I am still looking for a quality shop to work with. I personally have never built a chassis in my life. But the last race car I had built for me was built at Chris Alstons Chassisworks in Sacramento, Ca. I have owned a Paul Peyton car, a "Tin Man" dragster as well as a Tim McAmis car.

Now if you are interested in applying for a job as stated in my orginal post, you can join the 8 other guys I am interviewing this week. 2 of these candidates will receive a job working in a state of the art facility, will be sent to Jerry Bickel's school in November and will receive an excellent salary and benefits. Call me for an interview or have a great day.

Re: Fabricator / Welder Wanted

So you are just starting out?

Do you have money to burn, and just want to be in the racecar business, or what?

You have no experience building cars and your going to start a chassis shop with some greenhorns? What would you need with another chassis shop if you starting your own? A 2 day seminar at bickel's is not going to make anyone a chassis builder. Consider it more of a shop tour and an invitation to buy there parts.

Well, I wish you the best, and reccomend you higher someone with experience (like Robert Fulmer if available-the guy that build Naiser's car). You would have instant recognition. Makes sure you and your guys have there act together before putting someones life in jeopardy.

Coach visits this board and I sure he could share a few things from his experiences, and maybe save you some grief.

I will tell you that Houston is flooded with chassis shops and becuase of competition, and price shopping customers there is little money in it once the bills are paid. With out a star customer or two you can't price your work with the big boys or expect to compete for business on there level.
