Would like to thank the staff for helping me sort out my new funny car minus the body.Made eight runs before busting a rear motor support.Special thanks to Doug Payne for all the help.
Havent got the picture thing worked out yet if anyone knows how let me know. Its kind of interesting to leave the line at 9000 RPM with only 72 cubic inches.
My Funny Car is a 7/8 scale Mustang , Suzuki Hayabusa Powered 180 Horsepower and 600 pounds ready to run. It is currently the only Mini Pro Funny Car in Texas and one of a hand full in the US. These cars are built in Indiana by GBC racing. They will certify 7.50 at 175 MPH.
my car owner harry clack just got one for his daughter. haven't ran it yet. it's pretty neat. has a hyabusa motor...will be interesting to see what it runs. i'm guessing it will go into the 9 second zone 1/4.
harry took the mini out to baton rouge sat...i think he got some 10.60's at about 135 out of it leaving in second gear. right now he's using air to up shift and down shift it, but was having problems getting it back into low. should get it to the low 10's with low gear and a few more tweaks.
not too bad for a stock 'busa motor with lectron carbs...no other mods...
Have most of the gremlins worked out on my car hope to make a few runs shortly. If any one is interested there is a roller for sale on race junk for 6800.00 which is about 3500.00 less than a new one. Did Harry buy a used car from some one ? Talked to GBC last night he has only sold Two in Texas. Mine and one in North Texas.
