Mopar info

I heard about 440 source.com on here and was wondering if anyone is using theyre parts and how they are holding up.
Keep up the good work Jack....

Re: Mopar info

Hi Mark,
Don't have any first hand info on 440 Source, They use top quialty material, I have heard that there machine work is on the weak side, meaning you should have your machine shop check the crank, risk pin to piston, ect., for a few $$$ insurance,
I talked to a gentleman that didn't and had some problems.

I plan on using them, but will have tolerance checked.
See you at the Mopar meet, in OCT.

Re: Mopar info

I am using there stroker kit and havn't had any troubles,w/ 15-1 compression, I am also using there billet mains in my motor. It has gone 6.08 1/8 so far in a 3000lb car and have about 70 passes on the motor and recently pulled the oil pan and everything looks great. I highly recommend there parts and they have great customer service.

Hey Murphy, I wont make it to the next Sealy points race, still trying to get car to go straight, good luck.

Re: Mopar info

Curtis,
Hey Buddy, Don't know when the next one is, the rain has delayed the track up-grades. Maybe that you will be ready.
What have you tried, Let the folks on Bracketrash know whats going on, you might get some good feed back.
See Soon.

Re: Mopar info

Mark it's the 4.15 stroke kit for RB block, and am using .030 over Ross domed pistons, I also got the v grooved bearings as an upgrade to the kit. I plan on being at the next Sealy points race if you can make it, you can take a look at the car.

Murph, I think I got my problem straightenned out, when we built the car it sat really low, and had to raise the car once the motor and headers were in about 4 inches, when I did that I lengthened the linkages on the anti-roll bar, but I guess it wasn't enough, I only had an inch of shock extension until the anti-roll was fully extended, and that my friend should have been what was unloading the tires, and causing the car to go all over the place, so I was able to lower the car a couple inches and put a lighter set of springs on and am gonna lengthen the anti roll linkages tomorrow, rescale the car and let her rip. see you soon ,

Re: Mopar info

Curtis,
That's great news, Hope Sealy has the next race. Haven't heard how they are progressing on the up date's to the track.
You should try to make the race in Temple at the end of the month. Big Bucks, should be fun.
Mark,
You should make it too! I have plans to be there, but a lot of my plans this year have had to change.
Going to work hard on making this one.
