Good seeing a few folks

Of course Bill T. it was great seeing you, Jack sorry I did not have a chance to shake your hand but I was shooting ducks down the track. First time in that car and was fighting new motor blues, car did not quite fit me (I am short, and cannot help it) and had a couple of mental hernia's and senior moments (read below). On a positive note at least 2 other racers were able to advance..LOL

Someone put an AARP application in my car seat while I was out of the pits, whoever did that Thank You I will fill it out and send it in. Somebody then put a Sunday Paper (early addition inside the car) I was getting some suttle hints.

I know I was slow, I fell asleep at the line, then Bill T. gave me a pep talk then I redlighted 1st round. Bought back in, re-dialed the car (mental hernia) and then broke out by a mile and that was letting off at a little past the 1000' mark and still went to fast by 5/10ths.

Tommy was great meeting you and hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving we all have much to be greatful for. We all have been blessed and are loved unconditionally.

Am patiently waiting for comments on the pillow that had to be used in the seat so I could get closer to the pedals.

Nick Tha P....

Forgot My Bud Stacey Vaudrin (tell Mom & Dad and Cliff the insane Tool Salesman said hi)

Re: Good seeing a few folks

Nick, good to see you racing again.. AARP is not so bad, hotel and food discounts, plus those cool clothing catologs that sell stretch waist pants for those sagging bellies !!!! see you soon.

Re: Good seeing a few folks

Nick, you are not short. You are vertically challenged (politically correct). The car has some potential, not too sure about the driver!! LOL. I'm sure that it was fun to get back behind the wheel of something other than a daily driver to go down the track. Have you driven any other "real" race car since you took "Stubby" down the track a coulple of years ago? Hope to get the Duster's block back this week and start putting it back together. Even considering putting a new paint job on (if it won't go faster make it look better!!!)

Re: Good seeing a few folks

LOL, no I have not, have been collecting aluminum cans on the side of the freeways (2 kids in college) since then.

Think we plan on getting the car out some more, will hook up the transbrake and move the seat and make a couple other adjustments (yes to the driver too).

On painting your Duster give Greg & Linda Carter of Downtown Body Shop a call, they do awesome work (painted the Monte Carlo), John Burts Mustang and several others they can be reached at 713-224-0413, they are great folks and reasonably priced and they get your car turned around.

Re: Good seeing a few folks

I plan to paint it myself. Shouldn't take more than 15 or 20 cans of Krylon. Still going to leave the hood black. Actually, I will be helping (grunt work) but a friend is going to spray if for me, if I decide to do it.
