I guess racers are going to pick up the tab on the track extension, they raised the price by a five spot to race, oh well, back to the budgetary drawing board....

When the 1/4 mile extension was proposed, 99% of the racers said they'd rather LSMP stayed 1/8th mile.

The racers were told the 1/4 mile extension would increase the car count.

So far it hasn't increased car count/revenue to any measureable amount, otherwise the increase in price wouldn't have happend.

Car count has increased dramatically on Friday nights.

apparently not enough to keep prices at the point they were.

Used to be 15.00, then went to 20, now 25?

First a 30% increase in price then a 20% increase??

Hmmmm if a $5.00 is gonna keep ya from affording to race and have fun might want to look into another hobby. Just my 2 cents worth.

I have to say $5.00 will not stand between me and anything I wanna do, but I do get the point ... however, we expect cost of living raises and everything else goes up so it is not real shocking for things to change. Heck, I can hardly buy a meal for me and my daughter for $25.

I used to be able to finance my own racing program, but with EVERYTHING going up, even the friggin entry fees, I might as well sell it ALL and take up badmitten or some other puss sport. It's a situation (as usual) of the have's versus the have nots. good riddance LSMP!!!!!!!!!!!

And they have announced that you can't bring any pets with you to the track. that's going to kill the car count...

Lone Star is the first race track that ive ever heard of to have a no pet rule, there may be others, I dont know. There are a lot of racers who bring their lap dogs and they won't be happy about this new rule, a leash rule would be sensible to me.. I am curious if its a insurance risk or a personal decision..
