very busy here with bits of stuff. just come back from school still there enjoying it so far
lots of house stuff to do, building, wiring, plasterin, plumbing etc. always summat comin up. tryin to set up a uni course as well.... they dont seem to want people tho cos they keep cockin it up!

i recognise that its would be a drastic measure, but i believe drastic action is needed.
there are that many loopholes and ways around the law for business to exploit, i dont blame business for doing it, theyre in it to make money, but at what cost?
what is wrong with expecting "pork sausages" being made up of mostly pork?

is it acceptable for a product to be grown, fed, or bred in countries that dont have our strict legislation for food standards, then shipped into the UK and made into a product here, so it can have the british label put on it?
this is misleading the customer is it not?

one final question: a bag of spuds from a supermarket, opened and kept out of sunlight in a chilled area at home, why even after 8 weeks, have they failed to start developing roots? what is put into the water growing them? what chemicals are being put on them to stop this?

there are many chemicals being put in the food chain that we only recognise when a scientist tests them after a possible link is found to an illness. i think its better to narrow the chances of this happening before a possible link is suggested by changing the way our food is sold/grown etc, the only reason this is not happening, is down to money.

give the food industry say 3 months.
if you sell a product such as a pork sausage, then it must be a minimum of 90% pork, no exceptions, no moaning, do it.
to sell a pork sausage that isnt even 50% pork, is misleading, change it or go out of business.
if its a fish finger. then its 90% fish or its illegal
id apply this to every food product, if its a milkshake then its 90% milk or it isnt allowed. you get the picture.

after 3months, random tests would be made on any one of your products when bought off the shelf. fail that"

What about parents on low incomes who need to feed families on very low budgets. The reason certain products for instance pork sausage include a low meat content is to keep them low priced.

The higher the meat content, the more the product costs to produce, hence people on low incomes would not be able to afford such products.

hey up Nat,

we only have a bt line here, no cable or anything, if id have changed my broadband provider id have added an extra tier of management and hassles to get through to get the line fixed.
after 6 months raging at BT, i took the decision to chill out and record slow speeds, faults, disconnections, engineers visits not turning up, failed callbacks, etc.
everytime the bill appeared, i contested it and had it corrected.

i would love to fine another provider, but until the line fault is fixed, id have the same problems and a bigger bill with the new provider!
