Help with details on Nui Loc Son Mountain base camp of F/2/1
My name is Jim Hickman I′m a USN Vietnam Vet. PFC O′Callaghan was my best friend. KIA 4/21/67 on Operation Union 1 April 21, 1967
I′m leaving for Vietnam on January 30th. I′m presently making arrangements with a guide to take me to Nui Loc Son Mountain, the base camp of F/2/1 also known as Hill #185. My hope is that I can follow the trail to the village of Binh Son where the Marines encountered roughly a battalion of NVA regulars.
I′m looking for any F/2/1 members that can provide details that may help me in my quest. If anyone has visited this location since the war ended, I would appreciate hearing from them.
My email address is: JGH513@yahoo.com
My cell # 973-902-1198
Thank you and Semper Fi, Jim Hickman
