My father just recently died of cancer and now in my dream I have cancer. I was more upset with spending our money for treatment and not leaving it for my family than the cancer.

It would not be unusual to have unconscious fears of dying from cancer since it was cancer that took your father. One of the hardest things about cancer is the treatments required in trying to heal or control the disease. The treatment is often more of a fear than the disease itself. This may be what the last part of the dream is addressing.
