I see dead people I know in dreams. I also see dead people I dont know, that ask me things, take me places, what is this about?

Normally unknown people in dreams represent aspects of the dreamer that are not realized, have not been acknowledged or are ignored. Dead people may represent aspects about yourself that have not been realized or have not been utilized {use it or lose it}. Known people that are dead may represent aspects about yourself that you are aware of but have not utilized or acknowledged those aspects as you should. Are there conflicts or questions about your personality that need attention but you have yet to do so?

Also, Dreamstevie, adding on to what Gerard said, in movies, plays books and myths the character of the ghost/spirit there tends to be one common theme - "unfinished business". Someone in the land of the living has to do a task for them, which they cannot do themselves.
