I had this crazy dream last night where I was upstate somewhere around where the Woodstock hippie thing took place years ago. By the way, I did not go to this either.
There is a nice grassy field and I see lots of kids
blankets, towels, shorts and tops strewn around.
All of a sudden I see my daughter Valerie and her girlfriend Jessica....but she is not my daughter in
this dream....she is another 18 year old kid going
to hear the rock n roll band.
Well...Valerie, Jessica and I start walking down
the road to get to see the rock n roll band...
As we are walking, Valerie and Jessica suddenly
disappear.
I woke up then from this dream. What could all this
mean anyway???? Also I am 18 years old too!

Does it seem Valerie is headed down the same roads you 'walked' when you were 18? She may be you, and you her. Not just in the dream but in real life. Are there fears she may make some of the same mistakes you made? The part about blankets, towels, shorts and tops strewn around, does that conjure up ant past memories? Shorts and tops may be 'revealing' more than just the fears and/or desires in the dream.
And what about Jessica? Does she influence Valerie in ways that you approve/disapprove of? Perhaps she exhibits some of the traits you possessed at the age of 18.

Thanks for the reply Gerard. My daughter is in Georgia and will be teaching science class in August.
She has always *loved* school and got excellent marks...on the honor roll many of times. Her friend Jessica is in New York also teaching.
I was married at 22. Valerie is 24 and is not
interested in any guy unless he is totally intellectual like her.
I, myself, hated school and could not wait to get
out so I could get a job.
I had crummy marks cause I did not apply myself.
I only did good in the subjects I liked for ex.
biology and english.
I hated math and geography.
Valerie is also bi-polar and I believe her dad
is she said. His moods change from one minute
to the next. I should know I was married to him
for 25 years when my kids got older...I decided
to say...."I want a divorce" and got it too!!!
