A Dog on a Leash

I woke up remembering this dream because I clearly remembered the images I saw in it.

It appeared that someone took a dog into a garage and left the animal there. The dog had a long leash around its neck, it looked undernourished as though it hadn't been fed and it aslo looked sad.

Next: I came into the dream with someone I could not see but sense in the spirit. This spirit was my guide all through the dream. It escorted me to an office where I was hired to work at my old job. As I entered the office, I seem to be aware of old co-workers there. They were standing around in front of me. I just interrupted the crowd by separating them to get straight to my work place. I noticed I was given a standard work desk that was located in a corner. This is where I was assigned to work but the desk had nothing on top of the surface.

Next: The spirit and/or unknown escort led me back to the dog to look at it tied up in a garage. As I looked on the dog's situation, I could see the dog was still fasten to something, a long leash remained around his neck, and he was unhealty looking.

Re: A Dog on a Leash

Tracy,
The dog on a leash and undernourished most likely represents some aspect of your or your life. Being in the garage may mean this aspect is not the primary focus in your life but something 'attached', perhaps some experience in your past that still affects you. It also may represent something 'instinctual', sensing something in the present related to the past.

The old job and workers probably represents some experience from the past {the co-workers are parts of you} that is unresolved and still needs work to sort out. The separating to get to your place may be your need to separate this past experience{s} emotionally. Since you are being led by your spirit guide it may relate to choices between different aspects in your life {example: work vs creative aspects}. This may refer back to the dog that is leashed and under nourished.

There may be something that has you leashed in your life that prevents you from realizing certain goals or denying you of an important aspect of who you are. Is there current conflicts between work and possible other aspects of your life? Something about your life is under nourished, leashed and not able to 'grow' or thrive as it should.
