Driving Recklessly

It's been a while since I last came here. I've been having recurring dreams about myself driving recklessly, as if I was playing a video game and crashing into everything. I got my license just last month, and I always try to drive carefully and not aggressively. What could this mean?

Re: Driving Recklessly

Darren,
Getting your license and concerns about safety are likely a part of the reason for the dream. Playing video games may have influenced the dream, the aggressive nature of such games affecting your thought patterns. And finally there could be some other aspect about your life where you may have been 'reckless' or worried about being reckless.

As for a possible sign that you will have an accident even when you are most conscious and thoughtful in your driving habits, I would dismiss those possibilities. If you were not conscientious about your driving it could be a factor. Dreams do not have a tendency to predict, they compensate what you already know and with your actions in waking life being a conscientious one, your dreams would reflect that pattern of behavior and not the opposite.
