driving out of control

I've been having a dream for the past year or so where I'm driving in my truck on a road that is familiar to me but for some reason I can't control the truck. It's always dark and I can barely see past the hood of the truck. I'm going around curves going off the road and back on almost wrecking even hitting a few signs but it's like I go through them without actually making contact. I can't slow down or keep the truck on the road and thats about all I remember.

I don't know if this is relevant but my mom past away at the start of my senior year of high school and I've been living on my own since then. I'm a freshman in college now and working full time.

Vehicles in a dream symbolize the dreamer. Because trucks are designed to carry heavy loads your dream truck may indicate you are carrying a heavy emotional load in some aspect of your life {it could also reflect the actual type vehicle your drive}. Being out of control would point to being out of control emotionally. There may be times when you feel you are about to 'wreck' emotionally. There are times you have trouble focusing.

A good possibility the dream does have a lot to do with your mothers passing. Do you still have problems with her no longer being there to support you emotionally?
