To Kill a Dragon

I am in England a coastal town similar to where I live. I am in a stone hall in the present day the hall is a stone long hall akin to the Vikings. I am with a group of people in the hall I cannot remember how many; they have talked me into assisting them. In the hall lays a sleeping dragon, they are convinced it must be killed.
Reluctantly I join in swayed by their conviction, we attack the dragon I am to pierce its heart to kill it. I stab the dragon through its left eye which the sword pierces its heart. The beast is awakened and in pain and a godly rage breaks the roof of the hall and flies into the air.
One of the group then tells me the dragon has 4 hearts and to kill it all 4 for of its hearts must be destroyed. Each heart had a unique color it feels as if the colors were red, yellow, and green and orange I cannot remember as it was not reviled in the dream but that was my feeling in the dream. I think I pierced its red heart.
The next part of the dream I am in a major city with sky scrapers and I am in one, I have no idea why or who I am to meet, the men are all it suits and women smartly dressed. Suddenly the glass walls shatter and walls of fire consume the place. I am taken with the corporate board members down in to the basement which links to an underground tram system in the city. All that is spoken is how the dragon will destroy the city until it can be killed.

Re: To Kill a Dragon

David,
The dragon that must be slain is within you. It is personal dragons that prevent you from being whole {the number 4 in Jungian psyche represents wholeness}. You must break the barriers {walls} that hold this dragon in but when you do the thinking self {roof} will awaken the beast and be let out {air}.

The 4 hearts may also represent 4 levels or aspects that you must experience or realize to slay this inner dragon. Sky scrapers, men in suites, these are social aspects in life. The major city is your primary being, the welfare that needs to be taken care. Then there is the rage. The underground tram is the path to the unconscious and the path you must take to discover what this dragon is. This thing is threatening your whole existence.

What is it in your life that would fit with this scenario? Something is threatening you emotionally? And the rage. Where does that fit in?

Re: To Kill a Dragon

What a powerful dream!

Jerry, you ask David "And the rage. Where does that fit in?"

Are you referring to the "fire" in the dream, because I see no mention of "rage." Just wanted to confirm, as this is what I would take it to mean as well.

Hope you don't mind my asking?

Re: To Kill a Dragon

Raymonde,
Fire can be seen as a form of rage but I was primarily alluding to the 'godly rage' that breaks the roof {thinking head} of the hall {connection between conscious and unconscious}. It was pretty much an after thought question that came to me.
