Has there been a recent experience involving your bf where you displayed a side of your personality he had not seen before? You are in a growing relationship {forest} and may be concerned this part of you will get in the way of that. You probably felt guilt later on, fearing possible negative reactions on his part.

In a deeper sense {all dreams have at least two meanings/applications} you may possess a side of you that has anger and can cause you to erupt. This anger would be from earlier life experiences/influences. You probably feel a need to be in control because of these experiences, having surrendered your emotions to trusted people only to be hurt or let down. If you look at your childhood you may see experiences that fit, experiences strong enough to form an attitude within your psyche.
