Read the following. Posted Dreams follows.

Dreams are a succession of images, actions and sensations that occur involuntarily in the mind primarily during the REM stage of sleep. Dreams are unbiased, spontaneous products of the unconscious, outside the control of conscious will. The act of dreaming is physical but the contents of dreams is psychological. They are NATURAL expressions of the dreamer's emotional/personal life illustrating experiences that possess strong emotional energies. Although there are literal applications in dreams the primarily language is symbolic, metaphorical of the dreamer's emotional energies.
  • 1. Dreams are about the emotions, emotional energies of the person who is dreaming. They offer advice and a deeper understanding of our waking life as well as the foundations for the emotional energies of the dreamer.

  • 2. The language of dreams is symbolic, but also with literal applications {literal waking experinces}. The symbolic images and actions are metaphors for the patterns or motifs for the dreamer's emotional/psychological/physical life. Every character in a dream is a different aspect of an unacknowledged aspect of the dreamer and/or a prevalent situation in the person's life involving actual persons/experiences {dreams will address both aspects}.

  • 3. The purpose and function of dreams is to guide the conscious self to achieve wholeness and offer a solution to the problems in waking life. Solutions to problems and conflicts from everyday life, as well as the deeper underlying issues, 'emotional injuries' that stem from the foundations of the dreamer {early life experiences and trama experiences in life}.
---Dreams reveal vital information that expose the authentic emotions and feelings that are often concealed from the conscious mind.
---Dreams compensate for conscious attitudes and personality traits that are out of balance.

  • 4. Dreams are intentional. Nature provides us with dreams to understand and help heal emotional conflicts/issues. Just as the body has the immune system to heal and protect, the psych{ology} has the dream.

  • 5. Dreams possess 'Archteypal' representations. Archetypes are universal, original patterns and images that derive from the collective unconscious and are the psychic counterpart of instinct. An archetype is an inherited tendency of the human mind to form representations of mythological motifs-representations of the symbolic images/actions without losing their basic emotional pattern. Dreams and mythology share the same archetypal images, myths as illustrations of the universal patterns and dreams as illustrations of personal patterns.

  • 6. All dreams have at least two meanings or applications. One is the symbolic representation metaphorical of the emotional energies and the second being a literal application where a person, place or experience is addressing a real life experience. I was in a public room with a man. I think he might have asked the woman before me to marry him right away. When I was with him, he was sitting across a long table from me. He indirectly said that he would like to marry me instead directly asking if he I would marry him. I didn't know what to make of it since he just asked someone else not too long ago. I also would have preferred him to ask me in a private or a special way instead of doing it publicly. In fact, my sister (who I am not close to) just happened to be sitting at a small table next to him (as a stranger listening in). I didn't answer him or seem interested when he asked. I didn't want my sister to us being intimate. My sister seemed happy about the engagement. Afterwards, she looked at me with respect and said I did good with this man. (He was very sophisticated looking- maybe even rich. She tends to treat me unequally since I am unmarried like no one has found me special enough to marry). Then, he and I were in another public, but smaller room. Again, we are seated a distance across from each other. A pretty woman (who I recognized as an actress on a political TV show) kissed him on the cheek, then on his chest and he did the same to her. I felt jealous since he was supposed to be marrying me. Under his jacket I saw a baby so I was relieved they were only kissing the baby instead of each other. I really wasn't sure, though. I thought they looked like an engaged couple unlike us since we weren't showing affection like that.

It will be Sunday morning before I will be able to provide an analysis of your dream. I am retired but work Saturdays with the family construction business. An all day thing.

    Re: Engagement

Was there a recent experience where you displayed negative reactions that you would not normally do {opposite how you usually act/react-man sitting across from you, opposites}? It is more how your sister would act/react and it would be something she would enjoy seeing in you. This experience would not only address a recent experience but how you reject the negative qualities your sister possesses. You are aware of her negative aspects and do not want to come across like her {public room}. The man would represent masculine qualities {forceful, arrogant, mean, etc}, qualities she possesses and opposite who you are. Look at recent events and see if this in some way fits {may not be as exactly as I stated}.

On another level {all dreams have at least two interpretations/applications}. There could also have been a past experience that had to do with marriage or similar 'proposals'. It could have involved your sister. A private matter that became public perhaps.

As for the the second part of the dream.

On a lesser issue {smaller room}, there are opposite aspects you like about certain 'negative' masculine qualities. These would be qualities you see as strengths and wish you possessed them {jealous}. These would new feelings, something you are not sure you could be but would you could engage other people when needed.

On another level. Again there may have been past experiences that involved jealousy. And proposals.
