I had a dream last night that I was on a train with a bunch of people I did not know. I was minding my own business when a man with and old styled two barrel shot gun came up to m I grabbed the end of the barrel of the gun and moved it upwards out of my face the man proceeded to shoot shooting me in the top of the head falling onto the floor. I got up off the floor grabbed the shotgun he used on me and shot him in the chest along with another person. I then dropped the gun on the floor and proceeded to find a nurse on the train because I did not asked to be shot and was not ready to die all the while blood is pouring out of the top of my head...I then woke up with a splitting headache. Does anyone know what this means?

Let me 'sleep'on this dream and see if I can get more clarity from it with a fresh start tomorrow morning {when I have a better intuitive sense}. Going on the dream images/symbols I did get an initial sense. Putting it together to get a coherent pattern that will provide what the dream is about is evading me. Here is what I see symbolically in the images/actions.

** Various unconscious aspects about yourself that motivate you and your personality.
** Concerning oneself about oneself {self analyzing/healing}
** Masculine aspect with aggressive tendencies.
** Placing certain attitudes to the unconscious so to remove any emotional threat to ego self-possible repression
** denying mental aspects that support these tendencies
** taking basic foundations of self and utilizing the aggressive attitude support unconscious tendencies {emotional and possibly violent}
** ridding yourself of the aggressive attitude brought about by early experiences/influences so there can be a healing
** Didn't ask for the aggressive attitude and not ready to change while life's energy drains you emotionally
** there is a lack of rationality

I do have a question that comes from the above. Do you have violent tendencies toward yourself?

I don't ever hurt myself but I hate myself...I have weight issues along with that I just found out my grandmother has stage 3 lung cancer and she is like a second mother to me.

The 'hate' is what I saw in the dream. Hurting yourself is a by product of that hate. It causes negative conscious attitudes and affect your personality. These are likely emotions you developed early in life. Add the emotional stress of your grandmother's condition and dreams of guns would be common since they represent a threat to your emotional self. I dare say your personality reflects you feelings about yourself and cause aggressive behavior in your conscious life. You did not ask to be the way you are but you are not ready to make the changes {are unable to} to make yourself more self confident {death in dreams symbolizes an end to something and not a real death}. That is where I get the lack of rationality from the dream. An inability to make changes due to the deep unconscious energies that formed the foundations for your personality and life. These deep negative feelings about yourself drain the 'life' out of you emotionally. You need to find ways to build self confidence. Look at possible skills you may have. Are there things you really love doing that you think you may be good at? Start with those and see if they help you take your thoughts off personal appearances and instead on the positives. When you look at successful people you see they have discovered that thing or things they are good at. Creativity is the seed of good fortune because it is the inner self that is most beautiful and creativity is an expression of that inner self.
