I have had lost of many recent dreams about my dog. She is beloved to our family and means a lot to us and therefore when I wake up from these dreams I feel so sad.
The most recent one was that she passed away and I was telling my mother that I miss her so much. In other dreams her head was separated from her body and in other dream her legs were lit up from inside and I thought she was gravely ill from toxins, or some kind of poison.

What do you think it means? I have had a look at the dictionary and think that it might suggest me, am I disembodied from myself and some part of me is missing, or ill?

No doubt the dogs in your dreams are aspects of yourself. The disembodiment is a good possibility. The legs lit up from inside may point to an issue that prevents you from maneuver through life as you should. It could point to early life experiences that affect your personality, something that occurred in childhood that continues to affect you as an adult. You could be emotionally 'poisoned' due to these experiences/influences. It could involve issues of self esteem, inner emotions that affect how you feel about yourself {separation of head from body}. Certain positive aspects of your human nature {dog} have died and because they have you are missing vital components that make you whole.
