I've had multiple dreams in which my laptop is stolen. most of the times it's stolen from my car. I was wondering about the symbolic meaning of a modern device like a laptop!

A laptop could represent a need or ability to communicate emotions, ideas, etc. Being a computer it could also represent a lack of individuality and not being able to express emotions and feelings. Being stolen would represent being deprived of these abilities/needs. The car is the direction in life you are going.
