I travelled with my mothers partner to Alaska, which only took 2 hours by plane from the united kingdom which even in the dream seemed preposterous but as I was there so I took it as a truth. The flight was committed from the dream and jumped to travelling in a large suv into the wilderness.
It was a business trip , my mothers partner was helping me with a work opportunity through his connections. The site was a very large facility in the wilderness. It had lots of entertainment facilities such as a casino and international hotel.
Upon arriving I forgot to get my bag from the car and it drove away, I was told not to worry it can be sorted out. I was led into a staff cafeteria, the workers were eating all mix together scientists to cleaners, engineers to administrators. The local native americans had some local foods some form of sweet bread , I decided to try one. When we got to the cash register I realised I had no dollars, I was told it's ok they accept British currency.

Sitting with the workers we ate. A heated debate started a scientist was questioning the corporate oil workers over unethical financial workings. I was then led into the corporate area, the layout was like a home which seemed confusing. Being inside I knew something was wrong. Everyone was taking medication a pill which psychologically changed the people. People because fixated on a neuroses or trauma. They did not have control of themselves . I could see this , I saw I was completely wrong. I saw they were susceptible to control, I decided to instigate a mass hysteria to help them rebel and break free from the complex. The crowd began to follow me , we entered into a large kitchen. The system open a separate door to which the crowd followed and then were separated from me. An asian woman who worked in the kitchen attacked me with a knife a fight started. I entered into another room dimly lit, some people were laying in curled up on the floor and hiding behind an arm chair. They were paralysed by fear, past traumas.

I am working on your dream but it will be tomorrow before I will finish my analysis. A question. Your mother's partner. What is it you identify with in this person {male or female}? Also some info in relationship with your mother. From what I have seen thus far in analyzing the dream I sense a need/desire to make achievements/reaching in your life but you re restricted in some manner in doing so. You try to be objective but there are strong emotions that hinder your journey. Knowing a more about your mother and partner will help in determining how and if they are involved.

My mothers partner is male, he is a good caring man, he looks after my mother very well. I have respect for him, he is honourable.
My mother is 69 divorced, independent but always has a person in her life, is a little tired in supporting others.

Now you have mention in the dream she appeared in the corporate area and when her and her partner had taken the medication they were in some blissful ignorance . He had become more child like and was following her around while she was delusional enjoying leading him around.

David,
My sense from the dream there is a strong desire in wanting to be unrestricted in how you live your life but feel guilt because you are so dependent on others {mother/her partner}. You wish to be more like your mother's partner but lack the ability to take risks as he displays in his character. You lack objectivity, being able to take charge of your life and managing your emotions. In short the dream seems to be stating you are too emotionally dependent. You are susceptible to being control by your emotions which cause inner conflict.

But there also seems to be something even deeper in the dream. The past traumas noted in the last sentence may be pointing to an experience that does cause fear and paralyzes you. The fight withe the Asia woman with a knife would denote an inner struggle {not a literal fight but symbolic}. Perhaps you have tried to escape your emotional dependence and failed and this could be the so called trauma the dream is addressing. IF there is no actual traumatic experiences in your life look at this possibility. If there have been such experiences then that would need to be better understood {future dreams would address those issues} so they can be resolved.
