Read the following. Posted Dreams follows.

Dreams are a succession of images, actions and sensations that occur involuntarily in the mind primarily during the REM stage of sleep. Dreams are unbiased, spontaneous products of the unconscious, outside the control of conscious will. The act of dreaming is physical but the contents of dreams is psychological. They are NATURAL expressions of the dreamer's emotional/personal life illustrating experiences that possess strong emotional energies. Although there are literal applications in dreams the primarily language is symbolic, metaphorical of the dreamer's emotional energies.
  • 1. Dreams are about the emotions, emotional energies of the person who is dreaming. They offer advice and a deeper understanding of our waking life as well as the foundations for the emotional energies of the dreamer.

  • 2. The language of dreams is symbolic, but also with literal applications {literal waking experinces}. The symbolic images and actions are metaphors for the patterns or motifs for the dreamer's emotional/psychological/physical life. Every character in a dream is a different aspect of an unacknowledged aspect of the dreamer and/or a prevalent situation in the person's life involving actual persons/experiences {dreams will address both aspects}.

  • 3. The purpose and function of dreams is to guide the conscious self to achieve wholeness and offer a solution to the problems in waking life. Solutions to problems and conflicts from everyday life, as well as the deeper underlying issues, 'emotional injuries' that stem from the foundations of the dreamer {early life experiences and trama experiences in life}.
---Dreams reveal vital information that expose the authentic emotions and feelings that are often concealed from the conscious mind.
---Dreams compensate for conscious attitudes and personality traits that are out of balance.

  • 4. Dreams are intentional. Nature provides us with dreams to understand and help heal emotional conflicts/issues. Just as the body has the immune system to heal and protect, the psych{ology} has the dream.

  • 5. Dreams possess 'Archteypal' representations. Archetypes are universal, original patterns and images that derive from the collective unconscious and are the psychic counterpart of instinct. An archetype is an inherited tendency of the human mind to form representations of mythological motifs-representations of the symbolic images/actions without losing their basic emotional pattern. Dreams and mythology share the same archetypal images, myths as illustrations of the universal patterns and dreams as illustrations of personal patterns.

  • 6. All dreams have at least two meanings or applications. One is the symbolic representation metaphorical of the emotional energies and the second being a literal application where a person, place or experience is addressing a real life experience. He saved me while I was being chased

I had this dream about being at my old school (I'm in uni now) and for some reason I was hiding from something idk what, it felt like something or more likely some people were chasing me. I felt so trapped when suddenly this guy told me to go through the back door and wait for him. I didn't listen at first and I ran from him but ended with bumping into him again and he took my hand and asked me if I trusted him and I said yes then he promised to save me and he pulled me towards his car (red) and I'm not sure what happened next but I remember him holding my hand so tight, it made me feel so weirdly safe... I can't get over the way he looked at me, kind of like he was looking at my soul...
Could it have something to do with the fact that I feel down right now for failing at the driving test? :''''( Also my life's kind of a mess right now so I think I was maybe running from my problems, but I don't know, this guy is always the one I dream when I feel down or stressed, I know him and I can't deny that I'm attracted to him but it's still so weird...

    Larry,
I'll provide a detailed analysis of your dream on Sunday. Even short dreams need to be amplified {the images and actions in the dream} and when that is done the dream can be better understood since the images/actions are symbolic of emotional energies that reveal what is within your 'soul', an expression of your deepest self.

Feeling down about the failed driving test would be one aspect the dream is addressing {dreams are about your emotions and in particular strong emotional energies in your present life as well as from your past {old school}. It could be addressing an actual experience to do with a real man but also addressing your animus/masculine aspects. Whatever the issues it is pulling to in an emotional direction {red car}. Every dream has at least two meanings/applications {one for the present and one for the past} and usually has more than two. My expertise is in reading the energies and providing an outline of the energies. Personal info helps in understanding any recent experiences {the dream is addressing} but the dream is always going back to foundations {earlier life experiences that possessed emotional energies}. You may be hiding/running from these past experiences.

I'll provide an analysis and perhaps we will be able to nail down exactly what the issues are.

Re: He saved me while I was being chased

    Larry2297,
I am going to withhold a final analysis so to get an understanding of past and present relationships. This seems to be what the dream is about. I will provide my amplification of the images and actions {dreams have a language of symbol and metaphor mixed with literal applications}.

Question. What was the relationship with your father? Was it negative or positive? Strongly negative or strongly positive?

Another question. Are you now in a relationship and if so how is that going? Are there questions about it, perhaps intuitive senses you are having? Are there aspects you can associate with to your father? Similar negative or positive aspects?

An explanation of how dreams function that will provide reasons for my questions.
Dreams are about emotional energies. Your {the dreamer's} emotional energies.
Dreams have at least two meanings/applications. One is addressing foundations for who you are, your early life experiences that shaped your psyche and person. That would be one aspect of the dream and why I ask about the relationship with your father {this dream is focusing on masculine/male aspects}.

A second application {and there can be more} is current emotional energies related to current experiences {with a male or males}. How you handle current relationships have to do with who you are, your choices in relationships and how those relationships evolve. Your early life shaping has very much to do with current relationships. I sense the dream is about the past relationship with another male {most likely your father} that have associations to current relationships.

Another aspect I sense is possible intuitive feelings on your part related to current experiences {with a male}. If this is true you will know it, you will have given thought to the relationship and your 'sensing' of it.

After you provide info about the questions {general, you do not need to provide personal info} I will give a final analysis of this dream as well as your other post {they are related}. I will provide an amplification of that dream as well.

Amplification of Images and Actions {by sentence}.
