Read the following. Posted Dreams follows.

Dreams are a succession of images, actions and sensations that occur involuntarily in the mind primarily during the REM stage of sleep. Dreams are unbiased, spontaneous products of the unconscious, outside the control of conscious will. The act of dreaming is physical but the contents of dreams is psychological. They are NATURAL expressions of the dreamer's emotional/personal life illustrating experiences that possess strong emotional energies. Although there are literal applications in dreams the primarily language is symbolic, metaphorical of the dreamer's emotional energies.
  • 1. Dreams are about the emotions, emotional energies of the person who is dreaming. They offer advice and a deeper understanding of our waking life as well as the foundations for the emotional energies of the dreamer.

  • 2. The language of dreams is symbolic, but also with literal applications {literal waking experinces}. The symbolic images and actions are metaphors for the patterns or motifs for the dreamer's emotional/psychological/physical life. Every character in a dream is a different aspect of an unacknowledged aspect of the dreamer and/or a prevalent situation in the person's life involving actual persons/experiences {dreams will address both aspects}.

  • 3. The purpose and function of dreams is to guide the conscious self to achieve wholeness and offer a solution to the problems in waking life. Solutions to problems and conflicts from everyday life, as well as the deeper underlying issues, 'emotional injuries' that stem from the foundations of the dreamer {early life experiences and trama experiences in life}.
    ---Dreams reveal vital information that expose the authentic emotions and feelings that are often concealed from the conscious mind.
    ---Dreams compensate for conscious attitudes and personality traits that are out of balance.

  • 4. Dreams are intentional. Nature provides us with dreams to understand and help heal emotional conflicts/issues. Just as the body has the immune system to heal and protect, the psych{ology} has the dream.

  • 5. Dreams possess 'Archteypal' representations. Archetypes are universal, original patterns and images that derive from the collective unconscious and are the psychic counterpart of instinct. An archetype is an inherited tendency of the human mind to form representations of mythological motifs-representations of the symbolic images/actions without losing their basic emotional pattern. Dreams and mythology share the same archetypal images, myths as illustrations of the universal patterns and dreams as illustrations of personal patterns.

  • 6. All dreams have at least two meanings or applications. One is the symbolic representation metaphorical of the emotional energies and the second being a literal application where a person, place or experience is addressing a real life experience.     DREAM FORUM IS CLOSED FOR NEW REQUESTS FOR DREAM ANALYSIS {read post}

    The dream forum is closed. I am not taking new requests for a dream analysis. Partly due to a change of format I have planned that will include more a request for detailed personal information {never more than a person feels comfortable in sharing} so to be able to provide more a detailed analysis. From the beginning I have always requested only age, gender and location and worked with that. More information about the dreamer will provide a faster connection of the dream symbols to the subject matter and emotional energies that the dream is attempting to communicate {so to help resolve the negative energies}.

    Another reason is my time is more limited because of my responsibilities to the 16 rescued cats in my care {Kitty City}. Maintaining their 'facilities' as well as daily feeding takes much of my time. And then there is the personal relationship with each cat. Think of it in many ways as having 16 children all seeking attention and with different personalities. This is a a responsibility I take serious and requires my full attention to insure reach of my furry felines stays healthy and contented. And like kids they tend to be spoiled which in itself presents the need for more individual attention.

    I also constructed {alone} the whole Kitty City compound. And keep adding to it. Like people I consider a cat is healthiest when their psyche is happy and healthy {psychology}. When not asleep a cat likes entertainment as much as people do. Cats are strongly individual, a challenge in itself. Keeping them entertained requires time and effort, another time devoted away from the dream forum.

    I do not have a time table to when I will reopen the forum. In the meantime feel free to read the thousands of posted dreams and my analysis {the Dream Forum has been online since 2005 with 10s of thousands of posts}. Many of the dreams will be universal in the emotional energies and experiences which may benefit someone who reads the posted dream and recognizes similar experiences. Dreams possess many universal symbols which define a type personality as well as emotional experiences and energies. No one is exactly alike but similar experiences will use similar images, symbols and actions in a person's dreams.

    Thank you Jerry for all the dedication you put in this forum and answers we got. As you said since 2005 we have a lot material to chew and go through. Are you keeping the page and the dictionary, as I find it very useful?

    All the best with the Kitty city, cats are the best company:)

    Re: DREAM FORUM IS CLOSED FOR NEW REQUESTS FOR DREAM ANALYSIS {read post}

    Monpon,
    It is only the Dream Forum that is going through restructuring and it will be back on line within time. The dictionaries are always available as is the Power of Dreams and Myths-Dreams-Symbols websites. I just have too much on my plate at the moment caring for my rescued cats. I am committed to their welfare which in itself can be a full time job. I work Saturdays with the family fence fence to pay for the cats food and supplies and work out three times a week which is vital to my health as well as theirs. At age 71 a workout takes much out of me physically {but insures good physical health} so those days add to less free time to work with dreams. I do not attempt to analyze dreams when my mind is not free to use intuitive skills, that would not be fair to those who post dreams. I always try to provide my best analysis with every dream.
