dogs

I had a dream where I saw a real, huge alsatian dog who was my boyfriend!!!In real life, I dont have a bf but have some friends who are boys. The scenario is, I was going to go somewhere and started off in a car. Before the car could start, this dog came upto the car and it wanted to meet me desparately and to fondle me and even I wanted to , but he couldnt do it because the doors and windows were locked. He started scraching the windows because he wasnt able to come to me. After some time of him cribbing like this, I came out of the car so that we could meet. And as soon as I came out , I was getting frightened that in a rush to pet me, he might hurt me because after all he is a dog in this dream. My fear was for 3 seconds and till those 3 seconds, the dog didnt face me nor did he come to me.(He was still facing the car and I ws standing behind him). After those 3 seconds, I woke up.
Is this some kind of prophetic dream?.
Please advise.

Re: dogs

tina,
Are you the shy type? The dream may be addressing relationships with 'boys'. Dogs can represent the masculine, in this case boys. There is probably a 'fear' you may have of boys, but also the natural inclination to associate with them. Have you given thought recently about meeting a boy{s} but may be hesitant because you are shy or you are apprehensive about doing so?
