getting a 1140

hey guys a friend of mine wants to sell his speedx new front tires back ones are shot but hold air good trans an engine good tin its only missing a belt cover. He wants 150$ for it.think its worth buying. now questions how many years were they made id really like to know this one ?
do they hold any rarity not that i care i jest always wanted one to tinker with.
How big did they get?thanks guys
