Model1640 square hood is it rare

Hello. I have the 1640 single kohler 16 50 anniversary.
I have not ever saw a picture or video of the square style hood model that i have. I believe its 1984.
I have modified it to accomodate me, in my condition. So im on the fence about cutting the original hood to fit my modifications. Am i cutting a rare hood?
I love this tractor over 24 yrs.
It will never be "original" again but i want that iconic hood on there with the speedex name. I have to cut it to use it. Hmmm
