Just wondering when reviewing the Command Chronologies I noticed that three months when I served with 2/1 were not available. These were May, July and August 1970. Does anyone have a clue? Thanks.

Just got back from Marine Corps Museum. Took my grandson and is mom and dad and my wife. Nice trip but hot when walked to our 2/1 Monument. It was really enjoyable. Hope to get down more often. Semper Fi

I saw the postings about Ed on Wall of Faces.
Ed provided security for some of my convoys in Vietnam. He was
a great guy. I can recall him telling me that he wanted to buy a red
Corvett when he got home.
I had made contact with some people who knew him from 2/1 about 8years ago on
a 2/1 website but lost contact because of a computer crash. I was a Lt. with 3rd Mt. Bn. and 3/9 in Vietnam. I would like to know more about Ed.

Sorry to say that I won\'t be attending this yers reunion due to the violence in DC . I always look forward to attending the DC reunion and being with my brothers, With all that\'s going on lately it\'s just not worth the risks. I hope those that do attend a safe and memorable time. Numerous! 23 in Corps Close Combat in Vietnam and Grenada

Did you know Charles Chandler Krulak, 4-star general, 31st Commandant of the Marine Corps, was a Lt with 2/1? He began as the S-1 Officer. Later, he commanded a platoon and two rifle companies. He was awarded the Silver Star during one of two tours in Vietnam. In summary, C.C. Krulak is one of our own!
